Welcome to Bharath MD Foundation

A parent advocacy group called Bharath MD ( muscular dystrophy) Foundation has been formed to work in the interests of the children affected by MD . The mission is to promote awareness, educate , advocate, amongst other things,about muscular dystrophy to the public ( including policy makers) in general and the families in particular.

BHARATHMD Foundation is a Non-Government Company registered under the Registrar of Companies [Pursuant to sub-section (2) of section 7 and sub-section (1) of section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013) and rule 18 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014] as issued by the Income Tax Department.

Our objective is to bring all groups, associations and all stake holders of Muscular dystrophy under one umbrella to carry on our activities and improve the standard of life of the affected. Every voice matters and is required to amplify the message and accelerate the movement !

What is Muscular Dystrophy

Muscular dystrophy is a disease that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass affecting the mobility of patients and even loss live very early ages. They face breathing issues, swallowing and cardiac issues. Medication, therapy, breathing aids or surgery are some of the Management Techniques

We as BharathMD foundation want to create awareness about this dreadful disease across all levels of society to reduce the risk. Unfortunately MEDICINE or TREATMENT is not available. We seek your support for this voluntary Organization.
